Overall Opinion:

Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Treatment isn’t one of the better creams I’ve tried.

It felt very sticky on my skin and also had an unpleasant odor.

I liked this product art first, but unfortunately as time went on, my skin got noticeably worse.

Over time, this gave my skin a terrible texture and caused my lines, wrinkles and pores to become MORE apparent.

Definitely not something you want to happen when using a cream!

Detailed Opinion:

Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Treatment is a yellow and white-colored cream.

It’s pretty thin in texture overall.

Applying Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Treatment is easy.

I just apply a “pea-sized” amount at night after cleaning your skin.

Initially you may only want to use it three times per week, but as your skin adjusts to it, you can increase it to every other night and then finally every night.

Drying Time

Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Treatment dries pretty quickly. No more than a minute…

Unfortunately, it does feel sticky on your skin once it dries.

Paula’s Choice Treatment CLAIMS to be 100% fragrance free. But this isn’t the case in my opinion.

Although the smell dissipates as soon as the cream absorbs into your skin, it doesn’t smell very good during application.

It has a very strong, bitter, acidic smell, almost that of a cheap self tanner 🙁

Short Term Results

After waking up the next morning after using Paula’s Choice, I didn’t notice any real change.

My skin looked smooth and felt healthy though.

I didn’t experience any redness, peeling, or burning immediately after the first use or two.

Longer Term Results

Longer term I didn’t notice any positive changes with my skin.

At first my skin did appear to be slightly smoother and more toned, but that was really it.

For all of the ladies looking to use this product, I did feel as if my makeup went on slightly better each day in the beginning.

However, after using it for a while, I felt as if it started to agree less with my skin rather than more.

My skin started feeling very thick, I experienced rough patches on certain areas of my face and my pores became more visible instead of less.

Definitely not the results I was hoping for!

Ingredients Analysis

Paula’s Choice contains 1%, which I like because many creams contains derivatives of it instead of the real thing.

It also contains dimethicone, allantoin and glycerin, which are supposed to be good for preventing dry skin and skin irritation, as well as hydration.

I do like the fact that Paula’s Choice utilized ingredients that are designed to counteract some of the drying and redness that sometimes accompanies use.

A one-ounce container of the Paula’s Choice costs $55.00.

Although $55.00 isn’t super expensive of these creams, when you don’t get great results, it’s definitely not worth paying.

Paula’s Choice offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

A full refund is given if the product is returned 60 days from the purchase date. If it’s after that time, they issue an online credit that can be applied to a future order.

If a product is returned only partially full, even within 60 days, only an online credit will be issued (which is a bummer).
